Assisted Living | Bellingham, WA

Assisted Living Communities are designed for seniors who are no longer able to live on their own safely, but do not require the high level of care provided by nursing homes or adult family homes. Assistance with medications, activities of daily living (ADLs), and housekeeping are routinely provided. Typically, three meals per day are provided in a central dining room, and custom-designed meal packages are offered. Residents live in private apartments which frequently have a small kitchen area. Staff is available 24 hours per day for additional safety, and most assisted living communities provide licensed nursing services. Also, social activities, exercise classes, and scheduled transportation are regularly available. Special units for Alzheimer’s/dementia residents are available in some assisted living communities.
